The process for printing on a rotary axis setup varies slightly from milling because of the need to perform mesh levelling on the "bed". If mesh levelling is not necessary, then you may proceed normally with one of the following options:
- Set the Z value of a WCS position to the top of the stock, and set the gcode file to use that WCS position.
- In the slicer, start printing at the Z position the corresponds to the top of the stock.
However, in most situations bed levelling is necessary to achieve satisfactory bed adhesion. In order to perform bed levelling, the machine must be in WCS G54. Therefore, after completing the steps in the Calibrate 4th Axis entry, follow the guide for printing on stock to set the Z=0 position and level the bed surface.
